Lovesong, a Long Island favorite known for bringing the electrifying sound and style of legendary ‘80s new wave music to life, will headline a special benefit concert supporting Sunrise Day Camp-Long Island on Sunday, March 29, starting at 2 p.m., at the Nutty Irishman in Farmingdale.
Combining faithful musicianship with an immersive live performance, Lovesong brings iconic hits from artists including Duran Duran, INXS, The Cure, Tears for Fears, Erasure, Depeche Mode, New Order and more — creating an unforgettable afternoon audiences won’t want to miss.
Sunrise Day Camps are the only camp of its kind, providing a free, full-day summer camp experience for children with cancer and their siblings. At no cost to families, Sunrise Day Camp-Long Island offers a safe and joyful environment where kids with cancer can just be kids.
Often isolated from the everyday experiences of childhood, children with cancer rarely have the opportunity to step away from the routines of home, hospitals and doctors’ offices. Sunrise Day Camps change that — creating a world filled with fun activities, lasting friendships and a sense of normalcy, while fully addressing each child’s unique medical and emotional needs.
The cause is deeply personal for Lovesong drummer Chris Tibaldi, whose children previously attended Sunrise Day Camp-Long Island. Moved by the profound impact Sunrise had on his family, Tibaldi and the band are donating their time and talent to help raise funds so that more children can experience the same life-changing joy and support.
