Hannon to Host Seminar for Small Businesses

Thursday, May 20 at Levittown Hall

Senator Kemp Hannon is hosting a Small Business Seminar on Thursday, May 20 at Levittown Hall located at 201 Levittown Parkway in Hicksville, from 7 to 9 p.m.

Five experts from five different organizations will focus on crucial resources that are available for small businesses to help keep their business thriving during this dismal economy. Deputy District Director Alfred Titone of Small Business Administration, Barry Greenspan of NYS Empire State Development, James Goldrick, vice president of NY Business Development Corp, Frank Mitchell Corso Jr., of Frank Mitchell Corso Jr. and Associates and John Steinhoff, senior business advisor from the Small Business Development Center at Farmingdale State University will be presenting.
The speakers will address availability of business financing for small businesses in today’s environment such as government-guaranteed loans, lines of credit, receivable financing and hard money. Other topics such as preparing a grant proposal, steps in preparing a loan request, marketing strategies, cause marketing campaigns will also be discussed in detail.
