Third annual MacArthur Spring Track and Field Invitational at 10 a.m. at MacArthur High School. Thirty-five Long Island high schools will attend and participate. Sponsored by the Mercury Club, the Parent Booster Club for the MacArthur High School Winter and Spring Track and Field and Cross Country teams.

Spring Craft Fair

The annual Spring Craft Fair will be held at Good Shepherd Lutheran Church, 3434 Hempstead Tpke., Levittown, from 10 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. There will be arts and crafts vendors, refreshments, bake sale, Granny’s Attic and photos with the Easter Bunny between noon and 3 p.m. Call 731-2314 for information.

Bowling Fundraiser Night

In honor and memory of Spc. Daniel A. Fuentes, for service to our country, Danny was a Levittown soldier killed in action in Iraq. 7:30 p.m. at South Levittown Lanes, 56 Tanners Ln., Levittown (516-731-5700). $20 per person. National Autism Awareness Day

In honor of National Autism Awareness Day, The ELIJA School, 100 Periwinkle Rd., Levittown, will be hosting its 3rd Annual ELIJA School Autism Awareness Week (ESAAW 2012), April 1-5. Providing the Long Island community with a variety of events and activities, ELIJA hopes to increase community awareness and involvement with ELIJA and the Autism community at large. ESAAW 2012 will feature a special ELIJA NY Islanders Hockey Game (April 1), an opportunity to “Experience and Understand Autism at The ELIJA School” (April 2-5) and a wonderful community event, “Champions of Awareness: An Autism Community Event” (April 4), featuring VIP Autism community speakers and opening remarks by Councilman Gary Hudes. Town Meeting

They have changed the date of the Town Meeting from March 28 to April 3 at 7 p.m. at the Karopczyc School. This was done to accommodate officers from the 8th Precinct who plan on attending this meeting. At the last Town Meeting, the community asked if they could invite officials from the 8th Precinct to speak about what law enforcement is doing to address the drug problem in the community. Two 8th Precinct officials will be on hand to engage in an open dialogue with the community. It is appreciated that the police department is able attend this meeting.

Super Market Bingo Night

Join Last Hope Animal Rescue for its first ever Super Market Bingo Night. Doors will open at 6 p.m. and the games will be played from 7 to 10 p.m. Prizes to include an assortment of baskets…Groceries, Household, Italian Night, Kids Playtime, Gardeners Delight, Movie Night, Cleaning Day and more. Donations Wanted

The Nassau BOCES Rosemary Kennedy School PTA is sponsoring at Chinese Auction on April 27 from 6:30 to 9 p.m. at the Rosemary Kennedy School, 2850 N. Jerusalem Ave., Wantagh. Donations are being sought that will be raffled off that night. A tax ID number can be provided should you wish to use the donation for tax purposes. Get a lot of holiday gifts that you want to use or re-gift and donate them to the auction. The school serves students ages 8 to 21 from Nassau County’s 56 school districts who have developmental disabilities such as autism and/or mental retardation. Vendors wanted for the Temple B’nai Torah of Wantagh, 2900 Jerusalem Ave., rain or shine Summer Flea Market on July 22 from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Sell your merchandise or promote your business in a spacious parking or the air-conditioned social hall and small party room in case of inclement weather to shoppers from the South Shore of Nassau County including Wantagh, Merrick, Bellmore, Seaford, East Meadow, Levittown, Massapequa, as well as parts of Suffolk and Queens County. Soldiers Angels

Soldiers Angels sends care packs to deployed troops all through the year. Cards and letters for our deployed troops, local veterans and for our wounded heroes are also needed. Soldiers Angels also accepts donations for our local veteran missions in the community. Prom Boutique Dress Drive

The Levittown Division Avenue High School chapter of SADD is beginning its annual Prom Boutique Dress Drive. Donations of gently-used prom-appropriate gowns or short dresses can be brought to Division Avenue’s main lobby where convenient hangers and clothing racks will be located. All sizes are needed. Please make sure that donated items are clean and undamaged. Accessories such as shoes, handbags, and costume jewelry are also needed. The boutique will be open for any student in the Levittown school community who needs it to make prom night extra special. Any remaining prom dresses will be donated to the Long Island Volunteer Center for Girls. The Division Avenue Dress Drive will run through March 30.

•Free Informational Lectures. •Pet Loss Support Group for people who feel very sad about the loss or serious illness of their cat or dog. •Korean War Veterans of NC Chapter #1 regular monthly meeting at 8 p.m. on the third Monday of every month (except July and August) at American Legion Post #1711, 3123 N. KWVA is seeking all who served in the US Armed Forces and UN Command during the Korean War between Sept. 3, 1945 to Jan 31, 1955 or Feb. 1, 1955 to the present. You did not have to have served in Korea to be a member.

Stroke Support Groups

Stroke Life Society is a community organization of survivors and co-survivors in the pursuit of living and helping others. A stroke can be very isolating. Levittown’s Brass and Percussion

A nonprofit organization that will teach kids, ages 8 to 88, to play an instrument and have fun parading, performing, competing and many social events. Free of charge. Beginners or experienced musicians welcome. Free transportation and instruments if needed. Cosmetology Program

Levittown Career and Technical Center at Abbey Ln. is offering the public salon services performed by students on Fridays from 11:45 a.m. to 2 p.m. Pricing for a haircut, shampoo and style, and manicure is $3. Child and Adult Food Program

All children in attendance will be offered the same meals at no separate charge, with no physical segregation of, or other discriminating against, any child because of race, color, age, national origin, sex or handicap. •Adult Education led by Rabbi Alan Lavin. Course #1 Torah Reading Skills. Learn and sharpen your basic skills to read Torah. Mondays at 7 p.m. Course #2 Basic Talmud. Learn the legends, laws and background of the Wisdom of the Rabbis. 8:10 p.m.

•Learning the Torah and Haftorah Trops on Mondays at 7 p.m. Instructor Rabbi Alan Lavin. This is a practical course for those who can read Hebrew to learn how to participate more easily at services and lead prayers. The course is open to all men and women.

•Beginners Hebrew course, sponsored by Hadassah, will be held at on Mondays at 7 p.m. Instructor Murray Zwerling. For those who would like to learn or improve their basic Hebrew reading.

•Introduction to Jewish Prayer on Mondays at 8:15 p.m. Text: To Pray as a Jew by Rabbi Haim Donnin. Instructor Rabbi Alan Lavin. The course is designed for those who would like to learn the history, meaning and structure of the siddur.

•Sisterhood Book Club – If you have an interest in reading, the Sisterhood Book Club is for you. Join other women to discuss interesting books. Call the synagogue office for more information about the Book Club and Sisterhood events.

Levittown Historical Society and Museum

The organization collects, preserves and educates history of Levittown. Holds seven yearly general meetings in the Community Room of the Levittown Library and maintains the museum located in the Levittown Memorial Education Center, Room 10, 150 Abbey Ln., Levittown. The museum contains history of Levittown, WWII memorabilia, artifacts from the Levitt houses, toys, furniture, clothing of the ‘40s and ‘50s, replicas of the Levitt kitchen and the Levitt ranch living room.
