AARP Smart Driver Course

Civic Association Meeting
The Oyster Bay Civic Association will discuss snow removal, including the process, whose job it is to plow the streets and when potholes will be repaired, at the next meeting. Daddy’s Boy: A Graduate Thesis
The LIU Post theatre company presents Daddy’s Boy, a graduate thesis project written and directed by Cristian Avila, from March 20 to 22 at 7:30 p.m. in the Rifle Range Theatre (matinee on March 22 at 3 p.m.). Synopsis: Rick legally marries Darren and soon after they find the perfect surrogate, Samantha, to assist with the birth of their son Grayson. They come to the realization that their son is gay. Rick struggles to accept it and it tears the family apart. Samantha steps in to help. Rick must confront the demons of his past and his internalized homophobia or risk losing everything. Internment Camp Film
See the film Farewell to Manzanar at 12:30 p.m. at the Holocaust Memorial and Tolerance Center. The film tells the story of one Japanese-American family held at internment camp in eastern California during World War II, during a time when approximately 115,000 Japanese-Americans, 62 percent of whom were actually American citizens, were forcibly held in more than two dozen internment camps scattered throughout the western states. Rabbi Theodore Tsuruoka of Temple Isaiah of Great Neck, whose parents met one another at one of those camps, will provide commentary. At 100 Crescent Beach Rd. in Glen Cove. Christ in the Passover

William de Kooning Workshop
