Lake Success Crash Leaves Teen Dead

A 19-year-old woman was killed when she crashed the vehicle she was driving in Lake Success on Monday evening.

Nassau County police said that the driver was heading eastbound on the Long Island Expressway South Service Road when she lost control of her vehicle and struck a tree near Community Drive at 7:30 p.m.

The victim was pronounced dead at the scene. Her identity was not immediately available. She was driving alone at the time.

Third Squad detectives do not suspect any criminality.
