Seaford’s Troop 239 recently visited Valley Forge, PA and the boys didn’t let a little snow and ice stop them.
They set themselves up at a camp owned by the Valley Forge Fire Department that is used solely for Boy Scout camping. The boys hiked all over the Valley Forge Encampment. Along the way they saw authentic cannons, replicas of housing for the troops, the National Memorial Arch and the Washington Memorial Chapel. They also toured Washington’s headquarters.
It was a quite educational trip with a glimpse of life as part of Washington’s Continental Army in the Revolutionary War.
