Over the years, I have had many meetings and worked with Jim Avena through my involvement in various Port Washington nonprofit organizations. I find him to be exceptionally talented in the areas of leadership and finance. As we met and discussed business plans and finances, I have found him to be intuitive, detail oriented and knowledgeable. With his 30 years of experience in financial services combined with his incredible service to the Port community as an advocate for many nonprofit organizations, he is unequivocally the best qualified candidate to be elected the mayor of Manorhaven. Recently, Avena and Priscilla von Roeschlaub worked with Legislator Delia DeRiggi-Whitton to secure funding for $2 million for streetscape improvement funding that will attract new businesses and improve the quality of life for all Manorhaven residents. In addition, they are seeking review and input from the community before plans are finalized, which is a refreshing approach to communication in Manorhaven.
I have personally worked with Jim Avena (mayoral candidate), Priscilla von Roeschlaub (trustee reelect) and Roy Smitheimer (trustee candidate). I cannot think of a better, smarter and more committed team to serve the Village of Manorhaven. I urge you to get out and vote and support a team that has the experience and the track record to do the best job for Manorhaven.
