The 31st Annual Slot Car Racing Championships were held in Ronkonkoma from Feb. 27 to 29.

Slot car racing is one of the fastest handmade car races on the planet with speeds up to 120mph and over 2000mph scale speed.

This event has been taking place for more than 30 years gathering racers from more than 20 countries. While the even was limited this year, it remained for the “absolute extreme,” with races for people of all ages and a fun experience for the whole family.

PJ Slot Car Raceway & Hobby has a reputation for having fast tracks, and its racers are familiar faces in main events and on the podium at numerous national championships at other major slot car racing events.
