The Woodbury Jewish Center hosted the second annual Long Island Jewish Unity Conference on Thursday, Feb. 26, on the theme “Jewish Resilience: Building Strength Across the LI Jewish Community.”
The conference, organized by the Jewish Community Relations Council – Long Island (JCRC-LI), brought together nearly 200 community members and leaders from a wide range of Jewish organizations to foster collaboration, exchange ideas, and address the evolving needs of the community.
“The future of Jewish Long Island is strong and vibrant, and by bringing leaders together from across the region, we are making it stronger every day,” Mindy Perlmutter, executive director of JCRC-LI, said. “When we come together with purpose and shared responsibility, there is no limit to what our community can accomplish.”
Prominent speakers featured at the event included Tsach Saar, deputy consul general of Israel in New York, and William Daroff, CEO of the Conference of Presidents of Major American Jewish Organizations.

“It was an honor to welcome William Daroff, Dara Horn, and Deputy Consul General Tsach Saar as our plenary speakers, each of whom offered powerful insights and inspiration,” Perlmutter said.
The Long Island Jewish Coalition is comprised of 25 Jewish organizations across Long Island that work collaboratively to best serve the Jewish community.
“JCRC-LI is proud to serve as the convening body of the coalition and to help foster collaboration and shared purpose among our community’s leadership,” Perlmutter added.
