In honor of Women’s History Month, Oyster Bay town supervisor and his colleagues on the town board recognized Chapter 14-NY of the Blue Star Mothers of America.
Under the direction of President Andrea Nordquist, the organization provides support for mothers who have children serving in the military, guard or reserves, or have children who are veterans.
I am proud to honor the strength and compassion of the Blue Star Mothers whose dedication uplifts our nation’s veterans and military families amid the backdrop of Women’s History Month,” Town Supervisor Joseph Saladino said. “Their service reminds us that we are the Land of the Free because of the Brave, and because of the families who stand beside them.”
Blue Star Mothers support one another and assist veteran organizations while promoting patriotism and assisting in homeland volunteer efforts.
