Voters in several Roslyn-area villages turned out in low numbers as a percentage of their population as they elected trustees and justices running unopposed on Wednesday, March 18, with a mix of incumbents returning to office and newcomers stepping into roles vacated by longtime officials.
In the Village of Roslyn Harbor, incumbent Trustee James Friscia was reelected to a two-year term with 13 votes, while newcomer Lauren Archer won the second open seat with 17 votes. Archer succeeds Trustee Abby Kurlender, who stepped down.
According to the American Community Survey, Roslyn Harbor’s population as of 2024 is 1,036. With about 75% of residents over 18, roughly 777 residents are eligible to vote, making the vote totals a small fraction of the electorate.
Voter eligibility numbers are extrapolated from publicly available government data and carry a margin of error of around 10%.

Archer works at Prime Quadrant, a wealth management firm that serves high-net-worth and ultra-high-net-worth families. She has spent about 12 years with the firm’s U.S. operations after previously working for 14 years at Goldman Sachs in its asset management division.
Village Justice Charles E. Parisi was also reelected, receiving 16 votes for a four-year term.
In the Village of Roslyn, Trustee Craig Westergard secured reelection with 34 votes, and Leslie Fitzpatrick was elected with 36 votes to fill the seat being vacated by Deputy Mayor Marshall Bernstein, who is not seeking reelection after decades of service.

According to the American Community Survey, Roslyn’s population was 2,978 as of 2024.
Bernstein was first elected as a trustee in 1996 and has served as deputy mayor since 2006, playing a key role in local governance, zoning decisions and community programs.
Westergard, an architect with more than 30 years of experience, has been active in the community, including organizing walking tours highlighting the village’s historic district.
Fitzpatrick ran unopposed for the open seat.

Village Justice Saul Klein was reelected with 31 votes.
In the Village of Roslyn Estates, Deputy Mayor Brian Feingold and Trustee Stephen Fox were both reelected to two-year terms. Feingold received 20 votes and Fox received 21.
According to the American Community Survey, Roslyn Estates has a population of 1,405. With roughly 75% of residents over 18, that suggests about 1,054 residents are eligible to vote.

Feingold is an internal medicine physician at NYU Langone Ambulatory Care in Lake Success, specializing in chronic disease management, preventive care, and wellness programs.
Fox is a partner at the Uniondale office of the law firm Ruskin Moscou Faltischek. With more than 25 years of experience as a corporate and securities lawyer, Fox has advised strategic and financial clients across industries ranging from technology to media and entertainment.
In Flower Hill, where the population was 4,803 as of 2024, Mayor Randall Rosenbaum and three trustees were reelected. Rosenbaum received 62 votes, Trustee Claire Dawson received 63, Trustee Gary Lewandowski received 58, and Trustee A.J. Smith received 65.
