The Press Club of Long Island honored Long Island Press with three awards for the publication’s coverage of crime, technology, and commentary in the organization’s annual media awards contest.

The Long Island Press won a half a dozen awards Thursday from the Press Club of Long Island for news and entertainment coverage during the group’s annual gala at Woodbury Country Club.

The Long Island Press proudly announces the promotion of Timothy Bolger to editor in chief.

The Long Island Press brought home nearly two dozen honors at recent local, state, and regional journalism awards competitions, earning top prizes and dominating the best website categories at several. The contests recognize journalistic excellence in print, on radio, television and online.

Despite only publishing 12 issues last year, the Press took home nine First Place honors across many of the contest’s most competitive categories.
