In an unprecedented number of votes, so many that two voting machines had to be closed due to capacity, the Herricks school community voted to approve the budget. The final vote, including absentee ballots, is as follows:
3, 028 voted Yes
1, 946 voted No
The vote was held from 7 a.m. to 10 p.m. at the Herricks Community Center, 999 Herricks Road, New Hyde Park.
