Obituary – George Bergmann

George “Bob” Bergmann, of Farmingdale, on June 1, 2011. Devoted husband of Helen. Loving father of Diane (William), Janice (Lawrence) and Christine Joan. Cherished grandfather of Douglas William, John Thomas, Carole Ann and Kathryn Elisabeth. Beloved brother of Donald and uncle to George, Cindy and the late Andrew. George worked 44 years for the NY Telephone Company and retired as a captain from the Army Reserves after 40 years and received special recognition for his work with the Long Island Senior Softball Association and US Marines Toys for Tots. He was an avid bowler, boater, car and motorcycle enthusiast. He was dedicated to his community, church, friends and family. Arrangements entrusted to the McCourt & Trudden Funeral Home, Farmingdale. Funeral service was held at St. Thomas Episcopal Church. Interment Pinelawn Memorial Park.
