“I’m just trying to get better,” said Caleb Followill, Kings of Leon frontman, to a TMZ cameraman following the announcement that the band would not remain touring as planned.

Monday, Kings of Leon announced that the remaining U.S. concerts were being canceled. The band cited the Kings of Leon frontman’s health as the reason for canceling the remainder of the U.S. tour.

“We are so sorry to say Kings of Leon are canceling their entire US tour due to Caleb Followill suffering from vocal issues and exhaustion,” the band said in a statement.

According to MTV, the Kings of Leon called off the remaining tour dates following a Dallas show where Followill complained of the heat and left the stage announcing, “I’m gonna go backstage and I’m gonna vomit. I’m gonna drink a beer and I’m gonna come back out and play three more songs.”

But Followill never came back on stage.

Later, Kings of Leon bassist and Caleb’s brother, Jared Followill tweeted,”There are internal sicknesses & problems that have needed to be addressed. I can’t lie, there are problems in our band bigger than not drinking enough Gatorade.”

Following Jared’s tweet, fans became worried of a band breakup.

Jared assured fans that a breakup was not going to happen with a little humor. He tweeted ,”Don’t jump to conclusions guys. We’re not breaking up. BRB. Just got a text from Nathan….. Ummm…. Eesh. So about what I just said…….” and then tweeted, “Kidding! Kidding! Not breaking up.”

Kings of Leon band member, Nathan also tweeted to let fans know there would be no breakup. He tweeted, “We all need some rest” and reassured fans that the band has no plans to break up,” reported The Hollywood Reporter.

The band also postponed Canada tour dates that were set for late September.
