Following the split of Kim Kardashian and Kris Humphries, Mom Kris Jenner is scheduled to make a television appearance to talk about just that—She scheduled to stop by NBC’s “Today” Wednesday to talk about the split.

Monday, Kim Kardashian filed for divorce from Kris Humphries a mere 72 days after they said “I do.”

“She made a decision based on whatever feelings she had,” Jenner, 55, said during an interview Tuesday, reported People. “I didn’t interrogate her. She’s not the first person in the world to get a divorce or to have something like this happen to, and she won’t be the last. People have to stop judging.”

“Kim needed to make a very difficult decision and she needed to do that on her own,” Jenner said. “She’s not five years old. She’s a 30-year-old woman who definitely needs my support right now. It’s not something that she thought would ever not be happily ever after.”

Kardashian reportedly blindsided the NBA player with divorce papers this week. Humphries told TMZ, “I’m committed to this marriage and everything this covenant represents.”

He added, “I love my wife and am devastated to learn she filed for divorce … I’m willing to do whatever it takes to make it work.”

The two wed on Aug. 20, in a wedding that cost a reported $20 million and included over 400 guests. The storybook ceremony was televised as a two-part special on E!.

The network released a statement regarding the divorce.

“All of us at E! are surprised and saddened by this news, and we send our support to Kim and Kris at this difficult time. The Kardashians have always been uniquely open with all aspects of their lives from joyous events to intimate moments to heartbreaking transitions. E! will continue to share the fascinating real lives and larger-than-life existence of this close-knit family.”
