A Levittown Chinese food restaurant fire early Sunday is under investigation, Nassau County police said.
A passerby reported a fire at New Meifu Chinese Kitchen on Division Avenue shortly before 2 a.m. Local firefighters extinguished flames.
Police said the fire started at the plexiglass front window and burned into the restaurant, causing severe damage, although there were no injuries reported.
Additionally, several neighboring businesses lost electricity following the fire.
Arson/Bomb Squad detectives and the Nassau County Fire Marshall are continuing the investigation.
