Several area residents have been named to the Deans’ List for the spring semester at SUNY Oswego. Showing academic achievement, with their class year and major in parentheses, are: Kathryn Weiner of Tad Lane in Old Bethpage (junior, meteorology), Christopher Craddock of Phipps Lane in Plainview (sophomore, economics), Denise Davis of Manor Street in Plainview (senior, sociology), Catherine Koenig of Elmwood Court in Plainview (senior, human resource management), Peter Rukis of South Oyster Bay Road in Plainview (junior, economics) and Jessica Sandler of Beaumont Drive in Plainview (senior, childhood education).
The President’s and Deans’ lists represent the academic top 32.0 percent of the Oswego student body. To be included on the Deans’ List, students must have a semester grade average of 3.30 to 3.79.
Muhlenberg College has announced its Dean’s List for the Spring 2013 semester. Students must earn a minimum of a 3.5 grade point average (4.0-scale) to attain Dean’s List status.
Leah Boecker, a member of the class of 2015, is a Psychology major, from Old Bethpage. She is the child of Mr. & Mrs. William A Boecker and a graduate of John F. Kennedy High School.
Holden Walter-Warner, a member of the class of 2016, is an Undeclared major, from Old Bethpage. He is the child of Dr. Abra J Walter and Dr. Matthew L Warner and a graduate of John F. Kennedy High School.
Sari Weinerman, a member of the class of 2013, is a Theatre and Dance major, from Old Bethpage. She is the child of Mr. & Mrs. Neal M Weinerman and a graduate of John F. Kennedy High School.
Daniel Miller, a member of the class of 2013, is a Mathematics and Chemistry major, from Old Bethpage. He is the child of Mr. Robert T. Miller and a graduate of Chaminade High School.

Matthew Borkowsky, a business economics major from Plainview was one of 13 SUNY Oneonta students inducted into the SUNY Oneonta chapter of Beta Gamma Sigma during a ceremony on April 26.
