Bethpage Man Fatally Struck by Truck

A 31-year-old man was fatally struck by a truck while walking in his hometown of Bethpage early Friday morning.

Nassau County police said Hao Duc Bui was walking in the westbound lanes of Central Avenue when he was struck by a Jeep near the corner of near Sheridan Avenue at 1:47 a.m.

The victim was pronounced dead at the scene. The driver, a 24-year-old man, was neither injured nor charged.

Homicide Squad detectives impounded the Jeep and are continuing the investigation.
