Plainview-Old Bethpage Central School District’s Pasadena Elementary School and Parkway Elementary School’s first and second graders recently participated in fire safety week. The Plainview Volunteer Fire Department visited the elementary schools to give a presentation to students about fire safety and prevention. Students also learned what to do in the case of an emergency, what a first responder looks like and how to “Stop, Drop and Roll.” The day included many fun activities for the students including the chance to dress up like a firefighter.
