A 68-year-old man was struck and killed while walking across a road in Brentwood on Sunday night.

Suffolk County police said the pedestrian was crossing Suffolk Avenue between Eastern Avenue and Willoughby Street when he was hit by an eastbound Nissan Versa at 10:25 p.m. Sunday.

The victim was taken to Southside Hospital in Bay Shore, where he was pronounced dead.

The driver, a 25-year-old Brentwood man, was not injured.
