Farmingdale residents braved the cold on Dec. 4, for the annual lighting of the Tricentennial Tree at the Village Green along Main Street.
This year’s tree-lighting ceremony featured performances by the South Shore Brass Ensemble and the Albany Avenue School fourth and fifth grade senior chorus, under the direction of Catherine McLoughlin.
The following evening, on Dec. 5, residents and village officials came together for a second time, for the annual rededication and tree lighting event at Emil Gerngras Park on Staples Street in Farmingdale.
