Nassau County Comptroller George Maragos recently congratulated Eagle Scout Constantine Yeostros of Floral Park, a member of Boy Scouts Troop 568, as he is honored for achieving the highest rank in scouting. For his Eagle Scout project, Yeostros improved the youth and school facilities at St. Paul’s Greek Orthodox Cathedral in Hempstead. He cleared out of an existing storage area in the parish’s community center, installed new shelving, and painted all of the lower level hallways in the center.
Yeostros worked with the parish administration to plan and raise money for the project, solicit volunteers and manage the execution of the work. Ultimately, the project was completed on schedule and under budget.
