You’ll be dancing at Steppingstone Park, Saturday, August 22, at 8 p.m., when Night Fever–Tribute to the Bee Gees performs. This is the largest tribute production of the Bee Gees worldwide. The all-Canadian cast has been touring for the past 10 years, from Disneyland to Russia, recreating the most authentic look and sounds of the Bee Gees. You’ll hear chart-topping hits such as, “You Should Be Dancing,” “To Love Somebody,” “I Started a Joke,” “Jive Talking,” “More Than a Woman,” “Night Fever,” “Stayin’ Alive” and so much more. You will realize how deep your love is for the Bee Gees music this Saturday night.
Admission for this performance is free to Great Neck Park District residents only, with a valid park card. Park cards will be checked when parking and at the gate. Each park card holder is allowed to bring two guests, who must be signed-in.
A limited number of park chairs will be available, but it’s recommended that show attendees bring along a blanket or their own chair. In case of rain, check www.cancellations.com or www.greatneckparks.org for location of performance.
Free bus service will be available to Steppingstone; return buses start 10 minutes after the show ends. Be sure to bring your current Park District park card with you, as cards are always checked on the bus and when you enter the park. You will not be able to enter without your park card.
The bus schedule is available on the Park District website, www.greatneckparks.org, and can be obtained at Great Neck House, 14 Arrandale Ave., and at the Steppingstone Park gate. The bus is subject to cancellation or change according to public usage. Street parking in the Village of Kings Point is permitted as posted. The Great Neck Park District has partnered with the Town of North Hempstead to present a free concert starring Persian pop singer Hengameh at 8 p.m. on Sunday, August 23, at North Hempstead Park, 175 West Shore Rd. in Port Washington.
Hengameh pursued her lifelong dream of becoming a singer while growing up in Iran. Her debut album, Baray-e Didan-e To, is cherished by millions around the globe. Her second release, Artesh-e Solh, opened a new chapter in her singing career.
