North Hempstead, sponsors of the 2015 Gold Coast International Film Festival, announce that 1-800-Flowers.com will generously be providing veterans and members of the military with free tickets to all film screenings throughout the seven-day festival.
In addition to the free tickets for the military, there will be a special free screening for everyone of the 1946 Academy-Award-winning film, The Best Years of Our Lives on Veterans Day, Wednesday, Nov. 11, at the Bow Tie Great Neck Squire Theater at 1 p.m. The film classic tells the story of three WWII veterans who return home to small-town America to discover that little has remained the same while they were away. The film was winner of seven Academy Awards in 1946, including Best Picture, Best Director, Best Actor and Best Supporting Actor. The screening is also sponsored by 1-800-FLOWERS.
This year’s Gold Coast International Film Festival takes place Nov. 9 – 15, in venues throughout the north shore of Long Island.
