Sign Placement Flap

As the Village of East Hills elections approach, there is a flap over the positioning of election banners. A local residents told The Roslyn News that village officials have allowed candidates from the Unity Party to illegally place election signs in the village, including the grassy intersection by Glen Cove Road and Harbor Hill Road. The resident cited village ordinances prohibited that placement of such banners.

Village officials told The Roslyn News that areas where the signs have been installed are owned by Nassau County. They added that they received a permit from the county to place the signs at the location in question.

The board of trustees election is Tuesday, March 15.
