Congratulations to the sixth grade Port Washington Vikings boys lacrosse team. They won the Syosset Shootout Town Tournament on March 26. The tournament features top town teams from throughout Nassau and Suffolk counties and Connecticut. The Port Vikings team has been practicing and playing in games and tournaments virtually all year round since second grade. Their hard work paid off by winning the championship in the highly competitive tournament this year after losing in the championship game last year. The Vikings 2022 dominated the competition all day, including a win over a very good Smithtown team, to make it to the championship game and a win over Ridgefield, CT, in the finals. The parents and coaches are proud of this highly dedicated and close-knit group of boys and look forward to big things from them in the years to come.
