Fater Is Athlete Of The Week

Emma Fater is this week’s Athlete of the Week. Fater is the senior captain of the Girls’ Varsity Lacrosse team at Mineola High School. Fater is in her fourth year as a varsity starter and has achieved All Conference honors twice. She led the team in scoring last year and poured in seven goals with one assist in Mineola’s first two games of the season; which led to a 16-10 victory over Great Neck South and an 11-9 victory over Herricks. Fater’s most important contribution on the lacrosse field comes as a shutdown defender as she is always called on to cover the opponent’s best offensive player. Fater is also an honor student who will be attending the University of Delaware in the fall.
