Blessing Of The Animals

Pastor Marc Herbst of The Church of Our Saviour Lutheran conducted the Blessing of the Animals, an annual service, in the garden on Oct. 2 honoring St. Francis of Assisi. Families brought pets including dogs and cats of all sizes and breeds for the blessing. The most unusual pet brought forth to be blessed was a hedgehog. All the animals behaved with respect to the event and each other.
