Schneps Media, parent company of the Long Island Press, is proud to announce the launch of Schneps Connects, a dynamic new breakfast series bringing together business leaders, innovators, and changemakers for powerful networking and meaningful conversations. The inaugural event will take place on Wednesday, November 12, from 7–9 a.m. at The Garden City Hotel, featuring a “fireside chat” with Jim McCann, Founder of 1-800-Flowers, on Scaling a Business and Harnessing AI Strategically.

More than just a breakfast, Schneps Connects represents the next evolution in the Schneps Media mission to connect, recognize, and empower extraordinary individuals across industries. These intimate, curated gatherings provide exclusive access to thought leaders, offer practical insights on business growth and innovation, and provide opportunities to build lasting professional relationships.

“Our goal, with Schneps Events, has always been simple: to connect and recognize outstanding individuals and publicize their success to our audience,” said Josh Schneps, CEO of Schneps Media. “With Schneps Connects, we’re creating a space where business leaders can share ideas, collaborate, and learn from one another in an intimate setting. It’s networking with purpose — designed to foster growth, innovation, and community.”

The inaugural breakfast sets the tone for what’s to come. Jim McCann, one of Long Island’s most celebrated entrepreneurs, will sit down for a conversation about how he built 1-800-Flowers from a single flower shop into a global brand synonymous with gifting and connection. McCann will also discuss how he’s embracing artificial intelligence and digital transformation to shape the next chapter of his business.

For attendees, the event promises not only inspiration but real-world takeaways. Business owners, executives, and professionals will gain fresh insights into leadership, innovation, and the power of human connection in an increasingly digital world.

The breakfast will begin with networking, giving guests the opportunity to meet other leaders from across Long Island and beyond. The conversation with McCann will follow, offering attendees a front-row seat to stories and lessons from one of the region’s most respected business minds.

With the breakfast series, Schneps Media continues to strengthen its reputation as both a media leader and a convener of New York’s most influential people. From amNewYork to Dan’s Papers, Brooklyn Paper, and Long Island Press, Schneps Media reaches millions of readers every day, providing unparalleled visibility to local businesses and community leaders.

The event series will continue into 2026 with additional breakfasts held across Long Island, Manhattan, Queens, Brooklyn, and the Bronx, each spotlighting a distinguished speaker and a specific industry focus.

“Everything we do at Schneps Media centers on connection,” Schneps said. “We tell the stories of people making a difference — and now, through Schneps Connects, we’re bringing those people together in person to inspire and learn from each other.”

As Schneps sums it up: “Our world is moving fast, and success depends on relationships, insights, and visibility. Schneps Connects is where all three come together. This is just the beginning and I can’t wait to see what we build together.”
