Break out the ceramic Christmas trees, bells, bows, family menorahs and more as the Long Island Gay Men’s Chorus presents its “Bells & Stars And All That Holiday Stuff!” concert series.

During performances set for 7 p.m. on Sunday, Dec. 7 at St. John’s Episcopal Church, 12 Prospect St., Huntington; 8 p.m. on Friday, Dec. 12 at the Take A Bow Theater, 1530 Old Country Road, Plainview; and 8 p.m. on Saturday, Dec. 13 at the Unitarian Universalist Fellowship at Stony Brook, 380 Nicolls Road, Setauket/E. Setauket, LIGMC will cheerfully raid the musical attic for an evening of cherished favorites, reimagined classics, contemporary fare and just the right freckle of “fru-fru” for all to enjoy. Tickets are $25 and available for purchase at the door or online at http://www.ligmc.org/concerts.

“Every season, I get the privilege of having a front-row seat as the men of LIGMC share their love for music, strengthen their camaraderie, and embrace the common bonds that bring us joy,” said LIGMC Artistic Director and Accompanist Jeanette Cooper. “It’s always a beautiful thing to watch them become more confident with the material, and I know we are all excited to present these concerts for you this holiday season!”

It’s been a busy season for LIGMC members, who performed the National Anthem at the Village of Manorhaven Sept. 11 memorial ceremony for the third consecutive year and will do a special show for a local senior living facility on Dec. 1 before trekking to Manhattan on Monday, Dec. 15 to sing at the InterContinental Barclay New York.

“In many ways, ‘Bells & Stars And All That Holiday Stuff’ is a perfect metaphor for LIGMC. We come from all walks of life with different interests and levels of musical training – but when you put us all together, what we create is unique and special,” said Bill McCarthy, President of LIGMC’s Board of Directors. “Our brotherhood of song is strong and resilient, and we can’t wait to share the season with you!”
