Sourdough pizza is the new deal at Americano Pizza in Syosset. The restaurant opened on Monday, Feb 9, and business has been a success ever since.
Since its opening, the pizzeria has received many positive reviews from guests all over social media. One Instagram post by @michaeltheothersorrentino claims this is now arguably one of his Top 3 pizza shops on Long Island.
“The support has been tremendous. People traveling all over Long Island, from even Queens and Brooklyn to try our food,” said Vinny Corrao, owner of Americano Pizza Shop.
Corrao started this business as a side hustle in 2023. He first started selling from a trailer. Since his business was in high demand, he was able to buy a pizza truck to keep up with the pace of sales. Now he owns his own shop.
“It was the only way to grow,” Corrao said. “It was either this or just keep doing the truck on weekends. So we switched to pizza full time.”
