The Long Island Rail Road (LIRR) is launching a discount travel package that will stop at two Long Island breweries and downtown Patchogue, LIRR President Phil Eng announced on Tuesday.
Northport-based Sand City Brewing Co. opened its second location on March 5 in Lindenhurst, making it one of the few local breweries to expand to more than one site.
The motto at Restoration Kitchen & Cocktails restaurant in Lindenhurst is, “When you have more than you need, build a longer table, not a higher fence.”
“As a Japanese Izakaya, I wanted the cocktail menus to use products that would pair well with the food,” says Patrick Capellini, bar manager at Bakuto.
“The fact that Lindenhurst was a brewing town is important to us,” says 27A Brewing Company co-owner Ryan Cooke. “We’re happy to keep that tradition alive.”
Four-time Grammy-winning singer, 1980s pop icon, and Lindenhurst High School graduate Pat Benatar will have to wait another year for a chance to get inducted into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame.
