A 39-year-old man was found shot to death in Baywood on Sunday morning, Suffolk County police said.

A driver called 911 to report finding the victim lying in the roadway on Washington Avenue at 6:30 a.m., police said.

Officers responded and investigators determined that Frank Gianetto, whose address is unknown, had been shot.

Gianetto was taken to the Suffolk County Medical Examiner’s office, where an autopsy will be conducted.
