Invitations for the Royal Wedding of Prince William and Kate Middleton are in the mail, and it’s being reported that the President Barack Obama, and First Lady Michelle Obama will not be going to the wedding.
There are reportedly 1,900 people invited to the wedding, with the majority of them being family and friends of England’s new royal couple. Soccer star David Beckham and wife Victoria apparently made the cut for the April wedding.
On “The Early Show” Monday morning, Victoria Arbiter told co-anchor Chris Wragge, “The Obamas have not been snubbed. Prince William is only second in line to the throne, which means that this is not an official state occasion. So therefore, foreign heads of state are not required to be invited.”
It has also been reported that Elton John has been invited to the biggest event in England since Prince Charles married Diana in 1981.
