One of the stars of MTV’s hit reality show the “Jersey Shore” is once again being sued.
Mike Sorrentino, who is better known as “The Situation” to fans of the show, is reportedly being sued by the company that helped produced Sorrentino’s clothing line with Dilligaf (“Do I Look Like I Give A F–k?) USA, Inc.
According to Gawker, the company claims that Sorrentino did not promote the line and therefore breached his contract. The lawsuit also includes claims that he did not show up for photoshoots, did not wear the clothes in public as promised and that he had allegedly had signed contracts with other clothing companies. Dilligaf USA is now suing the reality star for damages. The exact amount has not been reported.
According to the company website the online store was created in 2003 by Bill Massry. The fashion line is described as being ready to wear with affordable prices, and that the clothes is “not just an attitude…it’s a lifestyle.”
Earlier this month Sorrentino was also sued by his former managers for $1 million at Gothan NYC Entertainment after claims that he breached his contract. According to the National Post, Sorrentino said he fired his management team in May after they showed a “lack of performance.” Gotham claims that there was a stipulation in the contract that says he was obligated to give a 30-day notice before dismissing them.
Sorrentino is not the only member of “The Jersey Shore” that is under legal fire, Pauly Delvecchio (Pauly D) is also being sued.
DJ Paul Lis claims that the star took his name and is suing $4 million for copyright infringement and claims that the reality star is ruining his 40 year reputation as a DJ. MTV reportedly has until September 30 to respond to the lawsuit.
Sorrentino and Delvecchio can be seen next on the season premiere of the fifth season of the “Jersey Shore” this Thursday at 10 p.m. on MTV. This season takes a different turn as the hard-partying reality stars from the beautiful beaches of Jersey take on Italy’s culturally enriching city of Florence.
The cast just finished wrapping the sixth season of the show in Seaside Heights in New Jersey on Monday.
