David Arquette was the latest celebrity to take off his dancing shoes.

Tuesday night, he was axed from the celebrity dancing show with partner Kym Johnson.

Sadly, he wasn’t the lowest scorer of Monday night, Nancy Grace was. But more often than not, celebrities making it through has little to do with their dancing talent.

This was the case for last week’s eliminated duo, Chaz Bono and partner Lacey Schwimmer. Bono has been regarded as one of the worst dancers of the season but has made it through time and time again. The team was finally eliminated after the sixth performance.

Unlike Bono, Arquette was regarded as one of the better dancers this season. David and partner Kym Johnson even had a great performance Monday night.

“Len did call me a dancer,” he told The Hollywood Reporter. “I set out to entertain people, learn more about myself, challenge myself, get in shape, have fun and learn how to dance. I’ve done all that.”

The two were eliminated following their seventh performance, a special Halloween performance. Following the elimination, the pair took to their Twitters to thank each other and fans who kept them in the competition so long.

“Thank you for all the good times, laughs, generosity and all the kindness you showed me. Can’t wait to dance with you soon!,” tweeted Johnson to Arquette.

“Thank you for everything Kym. I love you. Everything happens for a reason and I can’t wait to dance with you again,” tweeted Arquette.

Tuesday night’s elimination marks the seventh elimination from the Fall 2011 season of “Dancing With the Stars.” Previously, Chaz Bono, Kristin Cavallari, Carson Kressley, Elisabetta Canalis and Metta World Peace also known as Ron Artest were sent packing.

Remaining celebrity dancers include Hope Solo, Nancy Grace, Ricki Lake, J.R. Martinez and Rob Kardashian.
