Mark Cox, chief development officer of Big Brothers Big Sisters of Long Island (BBBSLI), of Westbury, along with Garden City residents William Whicher, President’s Council member for BBBSLI, and Michael Mone, BBBSLI supporter, ran the ING NYC Marathon on Sunday, Nov. 6 for charity, benefiting BBBSLI.
“The NYC Marathon was one of the greatest challenges and accomplishments of my lifetime,” said Mark Cox. “I am proud to have crossed the finish line in support of our agency’s mission as well as have done it with both William and Michael. They are dedicated to the mission of BBBSLI and their efforts were tremendous.”
Cox completed the marathon in 05:06:15, Whicher in 04:04:07 and Michael Mone in 04:20:40. Together, they raised $33,000 in support of mentoring.
