3 Hospitalized, 2 Arrested After Inwood Brawl

Three men were rushed to the hospital and two were taken into custody following a parking lot melee Saturday in Inwood, Nassau County police said.

A 34-year-old man exited Carisma Bar and was approached by Osvaldo Bonilla, 20, and Richey Rodriguez, 23, both of Inwood at 4:47 p.m., police said. He was repeatedly struck in the face and head, which knocked him to the ground only to get struck again, this time with a tire iron by a third man, police said.

Police officers rushed to the scene where they found two men, a 23-year-old and 32-year-old lying on the ground.

After allegedly resisting arrest, Rodriguez was taken into custody and all victims were taken to local hospitals. 

The 34-year-old was treated and released for a fractured rib while the 32-year-old was treated and released for numerous contusions and abrasions. The 23-year-old was was admitted for blunt trauma to the torso and is listed in critical condition.

Both Bonilla and Rodriguez were charged with assault while Rodriguez is also being charged with resisting arrest. They will be arraigned Sunday at First District Court in Hempstead.
