Steven Tyler National Anthem (Video)

Picture 1

Picture 14Feisty “American Idol” judge, Steven Tyler graced Gillette Stadium with his presence and gave them quite a performance.

The Aerosmith singer took the microphone at the Ravens-Patriots game Sunday. The Patriots ultimately took home a win and will be playing the New York Giants in the Super Bowl.

Before the game started, Tyler performed “The Star-Spangled Banner,” which turned out to be a little less stellar than expected.

“Oh say can you see,” sings Tyler during the performance. The 63-year-old displayed his best screams, after all he’s known as the “Demon of Screamin” thanks to his signature screams.

But it wasn’t the screaming that irked the crowd, it was the screeching.

The performance didn’t go over so well with fans watching the game. Most who saw the performance, took to Twitter to share their feelings. Here are just a few:

SuperNola1 tweeted, “Heard the national anthem was sung by Steven Tyler of Aerosmith? Doesn’t he have that smokers, nails on chalkboard voice … Lol?”

RealSkipBayless tweeted, “How could Patriots be inspired by that awful Anthem sung bySteven Tyler? At least give him some screaming guitars to camouflage voice.”

“Steven Tyler Gets Low Marks for Pitchy National Anthem,” Robinschmid tweeted.

Pascarellana tweeted, “Just heard Steven Tyler’s rendition from yesterday. Appalling. Stop trying to make it your own, bc it’s not, it’s the USA’s. Should be fined.”

“Twenty Bucks says that Steven Tyler won’t be asked to perform the National Anthem ever again,” Terryweaver tweeted.

What would his co-judges would think of his performance?

A video of the performance hit the Internet later. Check it out.
