Although he lives in Texas, country star Randy Travis is a NY Giants fan, and it got him in trouble.
After being found by police in his car parked in front of a church with an open bottle of wine, Travis was arrested for public intoxication in Texas early Monday morning, following a Super Bowl celebration, and now he’s apologizing.
Police said Travis was found in front of the North Texas church smelling of alcohol at 1:30 a.m. He was released from Denton County jail six hours later.
Travis, known for country hits like “Forever and Ever, Amen,” apologized in a statement to The Associated Press “for what resulted following an evening of celebrating the Super Bowl.”
Travis, who launches a concert tour Friday, says he’s “committed to being responsible and accountable.”
