Three members of the Atria Cutter Mill community are featured in the nationally published “A Dash and A Dollop” cookbook, available for purchase online at www.bn.com and locally at Barnes & Noble.

The cookbook includes Betty Wolgel’s recipe for hamantaschen, Gladys Goldberg’s recipe for carrot cake, and Noni Hainline’s recipe for blueberry pie.  “A Dash and A Dollop” features more than 130 family recipes and traditions that have been passed down for generations.

“I’m so pleased that three members of our community were selected from the hundreds of submissions across the country for inclusion in this cookbook,” said Nina Gordon, Atria Cutter Mill’s Engage Life Director.  “We are all excited to be making Betty’s recipe for hamantaschen this month, and we are looking forward to making Gladys’s carrot cake in April, and Noni’s blueberry pie in May!”

In celebration of Purim, Atria Cutter Mill will host an intergenerational cooking event with Betty Wolgel and members of her family on Saturday, March 10 at 10:45 am, to prepare her recipe for hamantaschen.  On Sunday, March 11 at 3:00 pm, there will be a tasting event to enjoy the hamantaschen that were prepared on Saturday.
