Rumors were swirling that Peter Facinelli and Jennie Garther were headed for splitsville for months before the two confirmed the split.

“While we have decided to end our marriage, we both share the same deep love and devotion to our children. We remain dedicated to raising our beautiful daughters together. We ask for privacy and respect during this time,” the two said in a statement to Us Magazine.

Facinelli, the 38-year-old who stars on the “Twilight Saga” as Carlisle Cullen, the patriarch of the Cullen family, filed for divorce Wednesday at the Los Angeles Superior Court citing “irreconcilable differences” after 11 years of marriage.

He is also seeking joint custody of their three kids. The two have three daughters including 14-year-old Luca, 9-year-old Lola, and 5-year-old Fiona.

But was it a mutual decision? Garth says no.

“You get the rug pulled from under you.” the 39-year-old “Beverly Hills 90210” star told People Magazine.

“I didn’t want it to happen. He did what he needed to do. …Of course I wish he had wanted to try harder, try again, try something else,” she said, reported NY Daily News.

As we’ve previously reported, the two first met on the set of TV movie “An Unfinished Affair” in 1996, and were married in 2001.

A reality show following the family is set to hit television sets on April 20. “Jennie Garth: A Little Bit Country” premieres and follows the actress and her family as they move to a seven-acre farm in the countryside of Central California.

“It’s a move that will either give her the all-American lifestyle she has always dreamed of, or turn her family’s world completely upside down,” reads a CMT press release.
