Melissa Gilbert’s fourth dance on the 14th season of Dancing With The Stars was her most exciting dance to date!

Dancing the paso doble to The White Stripes “Conquest” Melissa hit her head pretty hard on dance floor. However, it was her pro dancer’s tumble that got the attention of the judges. Len Goodman said, “I know silly old Maks fell over. But I don’t, it was a slippery floor and I don’t care. And of course in the ballroom you can slip. Stuff happens doesn’t it?

Then he continues, “I’m looking forward to seeing you one of the slower more lyrical dances.”

“On the whole I thought that was your best performance by far. By far your best performance. You look stunning together!” Carri Ann Inaba adds.

But what the judges didn’t know was that the “Little House on the Prairie” star was hiding that she had hit her head quite hard on the ballroom floor.

After Maks and Melissa exited the stage she complained that her head was hurting.

One of the professional dancers, Karina Smirnoff spoke to reporters at the Hollywood Reporter and told them she felt dizzy and light headed.

At the end of the show Maks and Melissa were missing from the final line up.

“If you’re wondering why Melissa and Maks are not here, she injured herself,” show host Tom Bergeron explained to the audience and the rest of the viewers at home during the last few seconds of the show. “And as a precaution, she’s gone to the hospital to get checked out.”

But no need to worry. Melissa is quite alright.

She  tweeted “I‘m alright. Mild concussion and whiplash.”  She took to Twitter early Tuesday morning and added. “Very soon I will be safely home resting and being taken care of.”

She didn’t forget about her partner either: “@Maksim you are my champion. I adore you.” After that tweet, it’s obvious that she doesn’t blame Maksim for her injury.
