Carmen Electra has reportedly called off her engagement with rock guitarist Rob Patterson of Filter fame.

Electra, 40, best known for modeling and acting, called off the four-year engagement, saying they had been living separate lives for a while, Life & Style reported, citing an anonymous source.

“She hasn’t been wearing her ring for a while, but they’re good friends and it’s been really hard for them to fully separate,” the magazine quoted the source as saying. “It’s off. They’re more like roommates. They don’t share a bedroom anymore and they sleep in separate parts of her house.”

But don’t get too excited yet fellas, Electra has already signed up to be on a celebrity show called “The Choice” on Fox.

The show is all about famous people dating non-famous people. The catch is that the celebrities have their backs turned to the people, in the same style as “The Voice.”

The show is mostly consisted of male celebrities dating non-celeb females, but there will be one episode with four female celebs, including Carmen Electra, Hope Dworaczyk, Rima Fakih and Sophie Monk, Zap2it.com reported.

“Carmen’s really nervous about getting back into the dating pool, so keeping Rob around makes her feel less anxious about being single,” the source told Life & Style. “It’s not like they’ll get back together. The romance part is dead. They’re done.”

If Carmen would have gone through with her marriage to Rob, it would have been her third. She was previously married to NBA basketball star Dennis Rodman and Jane’s Addiction rocker Dave Navarro.

Do you think she’ll be able to find a nice, non-famous guy to settle down with after appearing on “The Choice?”
