It seems that sometimes owning an expensive, super fast sports car is just too tempting. In a new video that has gone viral this past week, a Lamborghini driver is a little too quick to step on the gas peddle of the speedy luxury car and three cars end up paying for it in the end.
Footage of a Lamborghini swerving into oncoming traffic while turning in a Chicago intersection has everyone holding their breath. In the video, the expensive car is seen making a left at a fast speed and ends up wedged in the middle of two cars going the opposite way.
The video has been spreading like wildfire over the Internet with over 3 million views since it was first posted May 13.
The YouTube users who captured and uploaded footage of the incident caught it from behind the Lamborghini. “$225,000 Lamborghini Gallardo racing through turn on Chicago suburb street doesn’t end well. Good thing I had the video camera out to record it all. Can’t believe this actually happened,” reads the YouTube video caption.
It follows other frightening incidents involving luxury cars that made headlines recently.
As IBTimes reports, in April a Lamborghini Aventador was caught on a roadway engulfed in flames in California. According to reports, the driver was an internet millionaire who took the car out for a test drive (yep, it wasn’t even his) and it suddenly lit on fire. The driver didn’t have to foot the bill luckily and later even reportedly posted a photo of himself standing next to what was left of the over $300,000 car.
Back in December, eight Ferraris, three Mercedes Benz cars and a Lamborghini were part of a 14-car crash in Japan. The pile-up destroyed over $3 million worth of cars. The crash happened as a group of car enthusiasts headed to Hiroshima and one driver attempted to switch lanes but skidded.
