New mom Jessica Simpson and her fiance have reportedly set the date.
Simpson and Eric Johnson are planning their wedding for Dec. 12, 2012, according to the Life & Style magazine. The couple will exchange vows in Hawaii.
Their original plan was to wed Nov. 11, 2011, but they decided to wait until after the birth of their daughter. The couple’s first child, Maxwell Drew Johnson, was born earlier this month in Los Angeles, weighing 9 lbs. 13 ounces.
“Eric and I are elated to announce the birth of our baby Maxwell Drew Johnson 9 lbs. 13 oz. 21 3/4,” Simpson wrote on her website following the birth of the baby girl.
“We are so grateful for all of the love, support and prayers we have received. This has been the greatest experience of our lives!” she wrote.
The 31-year-old and her 32-year-old hubby-to-be were engaged back in November 2010 after dating for six months, according to Us Weekly. Simpson announced her pregnancy in October 2011 on Twitter.
“It’s true! I am going to be a mummy!” she tweeted and posted a photo of her holding her bulging belly dressed up as a mummy.
This marks the second time Simpson will walk down the aisle. She was married to Nick Lachey of 98 degrees fame back in 2002 and the two even starred on a reality show together, Newlyweds. The show proved successful while their marriage did just the opposite and the two split in 2005.
Lachey has since moved on as well. He wed Vanessa Minnillo in July 2011 after meeting her on the set of his music video “What’s Left Of Me” in 2006. Minillo is pregnant with the couple’s first child, who is due in late summer.
Lachey broke the exciting news while on Live With Kelly and noted that the couple currently doesn’t know the sex of the baby.
“I can’t take the knowledge that someone out there knows, but I don’t know,” Lachey was quoted as saying. “It’s like watching a sports game on TiVo.”
