Gwyneth Paltrow is in hot water after she posted the “n-word” on her Twitter account.

She was referring to Jay Z’s “Ni**as in Paris,” but that still hasn’t taken the heat off the Iron Man actress, according to Salon.

Katy Perry recently slipped on a Yankees hat, announced “it’s going to get embarrassing,” and rapped to “Ni**as in Paris.” However, the pop diva made sure to switch the “n-word” with mother f*****. That’s definitely more appropriate for a white girl to sing.

But in the case of Gwyneth Paltrow, the tweet would be confusing if she did not use the correct title to refer to the song.

It’s not even like she plainly wrote the “n-word” out. She specifically used asterisks.

She posted “Ni**as in paris for real @mrteriusnash (the dream) tyty, beehigh,” along with a picture of her on stage with on stage in the City of Lights with Kanye West and Jay-Z.

After people started getting upset about the tweet, she defended herself via Twitter, “Hold up. It’s the title of the song!”

It doesn’t seem to matter to some people. Dr. Boyce Watkins said on Newsbone that “an apology is owed to black people who are offended by a white woman using the N-word to define other black people around her.”

Richard Lawson wrote in Atlantic Wire that “someone like Gwyneth Paltrow … should not be saying…” such an expression.

No worries for Paltrow, though. The Dream, who snapped the photo, is on her side. He responded: ““Fyi Sorry for the Confu I typed Ni**as in paris for real from Gwens Phone my bad I was Fkd up please excuse it! We were lit!”

Take a look a Katy Perry rapping the song.

Do you think what Gwyneth did was wrong?
