Lindsay Lohan is refusing to take blame for her June 8 accident on the Pacific Coast Highway, according to a new report. Instead Lilo is blaming a mechanic for her car troubles.

The “Mean Girls” star had to be taken to a hospital after her accident for minor injuries when her Porsche smashed into a truck when she was driving on the Los Angeles highway, according to Wonderwall.

But the driver of the other vehicle doesn’t seem to think that’s the case.

The man who was driving the 18-wheeler trailer truck, who has only been referred to as James, told TMZ that the accident resulted because of Lohan carelessly swerving into his lane. Lohan hit his into his truck with her Porsche from behind.

But a good pal of Lindsay’s is coming to her defense, Wonderwall reported, she says that Lindsay did realize the accident was about to happen and slammed on her breaks as best as she could to avoid the crash with the 18-wheeler. Unfortunately for drama-ridden Lindsay, the breaks on her failed to work. The car did not slow down and the collision insued.

If the girls are telling the truth, that must have been a horrifying accident.

James, however, doesn’t care what Lindsay’s friend says. He’s sticking to his story because he believes the accident is all Lohan’s fault.

He told TMZ, “I was already in that lane. The witnesses that came and left me their information said this woman was flying on the freeway… She came over and hit the back of the truck. There’s even a video… of this whole incident. I was going about 40 miles an hour… (and) I felt a nice-size jolt.”

Lohan’s Porsche was totaled in the accident and she has been co-operating with police, said Steve Honig, her spokesman.

“She has answered all their questions and provided them with everything they have asked for,” he said.

Do you think Lindsay’s mechanic is to blame for the accident?
