Actress Kristen Chenoweth was reportedly hit on the head on the set of The Good Wife in Brooklyn on Wednesday as she filmed an episode for the upcoming fourth season, airing Sept. 30 on CBS.
Chenoweth’s publicist, Jill Fritzo, was quoted as saying that the 43-year old was hurt by falling scaffolding. An FDNY spokesman confirmed the account to the New York Daily News.
But CBS reported that Chenoweth was hurt when “a gust of wind blew a lighting silk out of place striking [the] actress.”
Immediately following the incident, Chenoweth was seen by a medic at the studio, and soon after was taken to Bellevue Hospital for treatment.
“All of us at the studio and the show are thinking about Kristin and wishing her a quick recovery,” CBS said in a statement.
Fellow celebrity friends also wished Chenoweth well on Twitter. They include talk show host Wendy Williams, her former Broadway co-stars Idina Menzel and Sean Hayes, plus Jenna Ushkowitz, whom Chenoweth got to know during her time on Glee.
Chenoweth has since reportedly been released from the hospital and is home recovering. “She thanks everyone for their prayers and well wishes,” he rep was quoted as saying.
Residing in both New York and Los Angeles, Chenoweth is spending time on the East Coast as she films for the CBS drama. The Oklahoma native is famed for her performances on and off Broadway, as well as for her television and movies roles.
